Conference Brochure and Registration
Conference Registration is coming soon for 2019!
While we wait in anticipation for the new conference brochure and registration, you can review the 2018 version and information. The new brochure is coming by the end of January 2019 – that’s when registration will open, too. Early bird registration usually goes until mid-March.
Conference theme for 2019 is “What if…?”
You can use the PDF version of the conference brochure to print and send in your registration (it starts on page 24) or register online.
(Early bird rates ended on March 28, 2018.)
Announcement: There is an alternate speaker for the Friday workshop: “Health Outreach and Programming”. Michelle Burda, from the National Libraries of Medicine (Mid-Atlantic Region) will take Lydia Collins’ place.
DLA members receive a discounted rate. If you are using the online form to register, please contact your DLA Division President or VP/Conference Chair, or email email@example.com to receive the promo code. On the second page of the online form please make sure to select the box “DLA Member”. When you are ready to check out, use the appropriate code.
Not a DLA Member? Consider joining or renewing your membership now to receive the discounted rate.
Here are some important things to keep in mind:
- Registration includes meal options for the conference and gives you information for booking your hotel room at the discounted rate.
- There is a new “volunteer registration” option added to the online registration. Or you can sign up here: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0b4ea8a72ba6fe3-mladla This gives attendees a way to volunteer for an hour on-site (or more if you like) at the registration desk and at the silent auction, and other areas. If you would like to volunteer but do not see the opportunity that fits your time and interest, please email Michelle Hughes and Cathay Keough – we’ll see if something is available!
- DLA is offering an Escape Room event to be held twice on Wednesday evening, thanks to the Friends of the Delaware Libraries and Alison Wessel/DHSS Library Director. The Escape Room registration is now full (limited to 25 for each time slot). If you would like to join us, please get on the wait list on-site at the conference. There will be a sign-up sheet available on Wednesday afternoon/evening; look for signs (Beer Shindig area) or ask any DLA conference committee member.
