CRLD Fall Program, Monday, November 15, 2021 at 9:30am

DLA’s College and Research Library Division will be moving their traditional Spring Program to the Fall! Join us virtually on Monday, November 15 at 9:30am for two sessions. You are welcome to attend one session or both!

Starting at 9:30am, Session One: Shelby Daniels-Young, Pauline A. Young Resident in Special Collections at the University of Delaware Library, Museums and Press will discuss inclusive description: what it is, the principles guiding it, and how it might be applied to different subject matter found in special collections.

Starting at 10:45am, Session Two: In summer of 2021, the New Jersey/Delaware Digital Collective completed the first harvest of cultural heritage metadata for the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA). Join team members Lynn Hoffman (Project Manager) and Michael Stewart (Metadata Specialist) as they give an overview of the process, explain the impact of involvement in DPLA on discovery of materials, show off some of the materials already harvested, and explain how to become involved.

Once you register, a Zoom link to the presentation will be shared on Friday, November 12.
