The winners of the 2026 Blue Hen Book Awards are:

Young Readers: The Yellow Bus
Middle Readers: Wat Takes His Shot
Middle Readers Graphic Novel: Swim Team
Teen Readers: Divine Rivals
Teen Readers Graphic Novel (tie): Lunar New Year Love Story and Plain Jane and the Mermaid

Children and teens of Delaware chose the winners from a pool of nominees selected by Delaware librarians, students, and community members. Over 1,000 votes were cast between April 1st and October 31st, 2025.
