The Delaware Association of School Librarians (DASL) accepts nominations for a selection of DASL-specific awards each year. These awards represent the best in the state in the area of school librarianship and school libraries. This year’s awards include:
Outstanding Library Media Specialist/School Librarian
Nominees should be certified, skillful, and dedicated library media specialists/school librarians who impact student learning and are respected and valued by students, parents, and coworkers. They should be an active leader and collaborator in their particular school and be a poised and articulate spokesperson for the profession. The most important qualification is success at inspiring students of all backgrounds and abilities to love reading and to become lifelong learners and users of information. The nominee should also be a current member of DASL (membership information available at www.dla.lib.de.us).
Administrator Award for Excellence
Nominees should be administrators or administrative teams who demonstrate support for school libraries and school libraries in the State of Delaware.
Submissions need to be sent to Katelynn Scott, DASL President, by April 8th, 2020.
