DASL Awards

The Delaware Association of School Librarians (DASL) accepts nominations for a selection of DASL-specific awards each year. This year’s awards include:

2016-2017 

Outstanding Library Media Specialist/School Librarian
Nominees should be certified, skillful, and dedicated library media specialists/school librarians who impact student learning and are respected and valued by students, parents, and coworkers. They should be an active leader and collaborator in their particular school and be a poised and articulate spokesperson for the profession. The most important qualification is success at inspiring students of all backgrounds and abilities to love reading and to become lifelong learners and users of information.  The nominee should also be a current member of DASL (membership information available at www.dla.lib.de.us).

Administrator Award for Excellence
Nominees should be administrators who demonstrate support for school libraries and school libraries in the State of Delaware.

Completed portfolios must be received by March 31, 2017 by Rachel West (DASL President) for review by the executive board. Recipients will be notified on or around April 15, 2017.
