This year’s Festival of Words reflected the tremendous efforts of organizer Christine Payne and all the many volunteers, donors, participants and supporters. It was well attended by students, teachers, school and public librarians and authors.

Three key authors gave insight on their writing processes and experiences, including emily danforth, Malinda Lo and Newbery Medal Award Winner Kwame Alexander. There were so many take-aways from the energy, sharing of experiences and thoughtful tips for new and not-so-new writers.
