Library Card Sign-Up Month

This year for Library Card Sign Up month, the Delaware Library Association, the Friends of Delaware Libraries, and the Delaware Division of Libraries on behalf of Delaware Libraries are proud to partner with the EveryLibrary Institute to launch a statewide campaign to encourage Delawareans to get a library card.

As part of this campaign, EveryLibrary is introducing a customer relationship management tool built on the NationBuilder platform.  This micro-site will be dedicated to promoting library cards throughout the month and focuses on identifying new supporters through a wide variety of tools.  EveryLibrary will use this tool to help us understand, identify, and communicate with library supporters across the state and engage with elected officials, organizations, and community leaders to establish stronger relationships with us while encouraging Delawareans to get a library card.

You can support the campaign by using the hashtag #GetALibraryCardDE on social media and encouraging people to sign up for a library card as well as sharing content from GetALibraryCardDE.org.  New content is sent out regularly during the month, so make sure to support these messages.

Please continue to engage your local communities as you normally would and encourage library card sign ups through your usual channels.  Please continue to use the #GetALibraryCardDE hashtag and GetALibraryCardDE.org throughout the month.  If you have more ideas to help promote library card sign-ups, please feel free to email Patrick Sweeney from the EveryLibrary Institute at patrick.sweeney AT everylibrary.org and Michelle Hughes at michelle.hughes AT lib.de.us.
