Research and Evidence Synthesis Librarian

The Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU) Library seeks a motivated and energetic candidate for the 12-month, hybrid-eligible, tenure-track position of Research and Evidence Synthesis Librarian. This position, based in Camden, NJ, will lead the development of the current Systematic Review Service into a broader Evidence Synthesis Service that supports a wide variety of evidence review publication types, and manages the coordination of librarian faculty colleagues to provide a high level of support for  evidence synthesis projects.  This includes developing policies and procedures that outline the scope of the service, such as levels of services, responsibilities of all contributing parties, and time frame expectations. The Research and Evidence Synthesis Librarian will assist faculty, medical residents, students and nurses of Cooper Medical School of Rowan University and the Cooper Health System in navigating evidence synthesis projects from methodology selection through to publication; provide instruction and cross training on a wide variety of evidence synthesis methodologies, including protocol development, protocol registration platforms, reporting standards, article screening and selection software, and reference management software; develop and conduct advanced search strategies; develop and maintain research guides to support research and evidence synthesis; partner with individuals in and outside of the library to advance evidence synthesis services, such as statisticians for meta-analyses; remain current in emerging tools, methods, and technologies for evidence synthesis; and collaborate on the development of a Rowan University Libraries Evidence Synthesis Interest Group.
